Maricola in which the posterior end is truncated, forming a well delimited attachment zone. Eyes absent. Numerous prepharyngeal, ventral testes. Long, extrabulbar common vas deferens. Penis with well developed, glandular intrapenial papilla. Copulatory bursa absent. Oviducts opening separately into female genital duct, which communicates with common genital atrium and receives the secretion of shell glands.
The genus contains only one species, Micropharynx parasitica Jägerskiöld, 1896.
