Bdellourinae in which the annular zone of adhesive papillae is absent. Configuration of the gut either pentamerous or as usual in maricolans. Testes dorsal or dorso-ventral. Eye lenses absent.
This genus contains the following species: Pentacoelum fucoideum Westblad, 1935, P. punctatum (Brandtner, 1935), P. hispaniensis Sluys, 1989a.
