Genus Obrimoposthia

Ectoplaninae in which the penis papilla is provided with chambers delimited by muscular septa, and a very thick zone of circular muscles. Mushroom-shaped clump of small cells inside ovaries obstructing opening of oviducts into the gonads. Bursal canal may receive the openings of unicellular glands.

This genus contains the following species: Obrimoposthia ohlini (Bergendal, 1899), O. wandeli (Hallez, 1906), O. hallezi (Böhmig, 1908), O. acuminata Sluys and Ball, 1989, O. aparala Sluys and De Vries, 1988.
