Ectoplaninae in which the oviducts unite to a common oviduct which meets the bursal canal, the latter being surrounded by a thick zone of circular muscle and receiving the secretion of numerous unicellular glands. Bursal canal with a vestibulum ectally to the combined openings of the oviducts, receiving the secretion of shell glands.
This genus contains the following species: Procerodella japonica (Kato, 1955), P. asahinai (Kato, 1943), P. macrostoma (Darwin, 1844).
