Genus Vatapa

Uteriporinae with a copulatory bursa and a bursal canal which runs in the dorsal part of the body. Ovaries situated at one-sixth to one-fifth of the distance between the brain and the root of the pharynx. Posterior wall of common atrium with large indentation, forming the lumen of a musculo-parenchymatic organ.

This genus contains the following species: Vatapa gabriellae Marcus, 1948, V. tumidosa Sluys and Ball, 1989.
